Is MemoryFy good for a parent with early-stage dementia?+
Yes — early stage is the best time to start. Habits and familiarity with the app build up while learning is easier, so the tool grows with them as needs change.
Does my mom or dad need to know how to use a smartphone?+
Basic familiarity helps, but the app is voice-first. The home screen has large tappable cards and most interactions can be done by speaking. We recommend you do the initial setup together.
Is MemoryFy HIPAA compliant?+
MemoryFy is a consumer family-care app, not a covered entity under HIPAA. We follow strong security practices (encryption at rest and in transit, least-privilege access, audit logs) and never sell or share data with third parties.
Does it work without internet?+
The app caches recent reminders and memories locally so it keeps working in airplane mode or with spotty Wi-Fi. New entries and changes sync the next time the device is online.
Can multiple family members share one account?+
Yes. One parent account can be linked to multiple caregivers — siblings, a spouse, a paid caregiver. Each caregiver has their own login. The Family plan (coming soon) supports up to 5 caregivers per parent.
What does it cost?+
MemoryFy is free today with all current features. A paid Family plan is coming, at $9.99/month or $79/year, with extras like multi-caregiver support and activity insights.
Is there an Android version?+
Not yet. We're focused on iOS first to keep quality high. Android is on the roadmap — join the waitlist above and we'll let you know when it ships.
How do I get help if something goes wrong?+
Email us through the in-app support form or visit our Help Center. We typically respond within 24 hours on weekdays.
What happens to my data if I cancel?+
You can export your memory vault and reminders before deleting your account. Once you delete, your data is removed from active systems within 30 days.
Can my parent use this if they live in a memory care facility?+
Yes. Many caregivers use MemoryFy specifically because they're not co-located with their parent. The voice reminders, photo prompts, and remote setup are designed for exactly this situation.
